He subsequently specialized in leading clinics of the Aleksandrovsk Hospital and the Military Medical Academy in the field of biliary-hepatic and pancreatic surgery, pancreatic surgery, colorectal surgery, laparoscopic surgery. In 2003, he was a scholarship holder of the Cleveland Clinic, USA, under the supervision of Prof. Steven Wexner. In 2006, he obtained a master's degree in health management at UNSS, Sofia. In 2010 he specialized in laparoscopic hernioplasty in Södertälä, Sweden. In 2011, he underwent a live donor liver transplant course in Istanbul, Turkey. In 2011, he participated in an individual program in biliary-hepatic, pancreatic and gastrointestinal surgery at the Clinical Center in Ljubljana, Slovenia.

Professor Ljubomir Kekenovski has earned his BA, MPA and Ph.D in Economics at the University “St Ciril and Methodius” in Skopje.
His Doctoral Theses was "The new positions of the public sector with special inside of public sector transformations in Republic of Macedonia" at the University St Cyril and Methodius" - Skopje University.
He had several studies in the public sector areas: Institute for Public and Private Partnerships-Washington; Summer school for public choices, Poland; International Center for Public Enterprises, Slovenia; University of Sorbonne, Paris and University of Rennes as a visiting professor. He published many articles and 4 books on the problematic of public sector and is very active in the area of NGO Sector.
Also, he developed as author and coordinator international and domestic projects. Most important are: "Long-term strategy for modernization of the Public sector in R. Macedonian", "Program for transformations of the public infrastructure in R. Macedonian" ; Transaction cost in the Balkan countries – comparative analyses.
He was Fulbright Scholar 2008 at MIT Sloan School-Cambridge, MA, and USA; Also, he has experiences as fist president of the Anti monopoly Commission 1999/2000; Member of Economic council of the Government 2008-2002; President of the Council of Governors of the National Bank of the Republic of Macedonia (external members 2000-2007); Also, he was a Dean of the Faculty of Economics-Skopje at UKIM. 2009-2010; He is an economic advisor of the president of the Republic of Macedonia, since 2009.
